JOB SUMMARY

  • Storekeeper is a person who is responsible for goods (Receiving, Issuing Checking) in a store
  • The Material from Supplier, he is making the GRN, MRV.
  • He is Control the Stock in store and check the LPOs.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery of material/items at a construction site store /main store.
  • Maintain/update status of inventory using computer system
  • Ensure accuracy of the facility's inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns
  • Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
  • Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom. Responsible for packing, pricing, labelling, and returning supplies
  • Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders. Track document and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
  • Responsible for stock rotation and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
  • Manage supplier relations and database as well as maintain high ethical relationships both internally and externally in regards of deliveries and quality of materials
  • Create purchase requisitions both Manual and System. follow up with purchase department for the said requisition for preparation of Purchase Order (PO) and obtain quotation from the local vendor, prepare comparative statement, and forward it to purchase departments for approval as per the applicability. follow up with Vendors/Suppliers for the delivery of materials/items to ensure timely delivery at site.
  • Responsible for purchase return of damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate
  • Report to Store manager regarding day-to-day functioning of stores
  • Reporting to Department Manager. Functionally Reports to Stores Manager. Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed by Line manager
  • Manage workplace for safe and healthy work environment.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree/High school degree
  • UAE 4 to 5 Years storekeeper Experience in Construction Company MEP

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Attention to detail must be accurate, fast learners and hard workers with diligent follow up, and promptly execute.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
  • Analytical mind with the ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management or supervisors.
  • In relation with the Procurement department
  • Organize the store and maintain stock
