Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, for a Cleaning Supervisor. The Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating commercial cleaning services and ensuring they meet high standards. Additionally, the Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and enforcing health and safety protocols.
Job tasks and duties
- Assigns cleaners their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
- Ensure that all safety rules and procedures are being adhered to at all times
- Task train Cleaners in the safe operation of equipment and to follow departmental policies and procedures
- Ensure that policies, procedures and performance standards that are in place in the department are being adhered to and proper waste collection and recycling
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies and Issues supplies and equipment to cleaners
- Schedule, break and if required rotate Cleaners fairly in order to ensure position coverage, increased productivity as well as maintaining Cleaners well-being
- Ensure a clean and safe operating environment and raise any defects to their manager’s
- Conduct communication briefings as required.
Qualifications
- Supervisory Skills: Ability to manage and supervise a team, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback
- Commercial Cleaning: Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning and knowledge of best practices
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients, team members, vendors and third parties
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work as part of a team, motivate team members
- Health & Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning activities, and enforcing of such protocols.
- High Degree of organization skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Diploma or equivalent in Facility Management is preferred.
- Strong Computer Skills, including fluency in Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of the UAE market with experience working in UAE facilities management or organizations a plus.
